## What is known

There is a twist worth looking at slowly. Khana Serhei and Liba Serdek —in Eliyahu's Branches, the paternal and maternal grandmothers of Khana Reizel, David's wife, a filiation the 1858 census contradicts— are both listed as daughters of Avraham of Serhei and Esther Jaffe. If the reconstruction is right, two of Khana Reizel's four pairs of great-grandparents are in fact the same couple.
