This is where the tree folds back on itself. Khana Serhei and Liba Serdek, the mothers of Dov-Ber Komisaruk and of his wife Ester, are both listed as daughters of Avraham and Esther Jaffe.
It is not unusual in a small community —two sisters married into two branches that later cross again—, but it is worth keeping in mind when counting generations: on that side, Khana Reizel’s great-grandparents are not eight people but six.
